Nevada Attorney General Aaron D. Ford, his sons and his Law Enforcement Community Liaison Investigators (LECLI) partnered with Empowered Café and Three Square Food Bank to deliver 40 turkeys and other food items to several families throughout the Las Vegas valley this week.
"The Coronavirus Pandemic has severely impacted our state, and many of our fellow Nevadans will have a hard time gathering the items needed to celebrate this holiday," said AG Ford. "Here in the Attorney General’s Office, we are family, and that family extends to our brothers and sisters in need. In times of struggle, I couldn’t be prouder to lead an office that serves Nevadans during and beyond business hours.”
LECLI is a group of Investigators from within our office that helps to carry out one of AG Ford’s priority areas of community engagement. These investigators are dedicated to bridging the gap between the community and law enforcement.
They are also tasked with fostering relationships with local, federal and state law enforcement agencies.
This year, as a part of an annual tradition, the office also raised money for a northern Nevada organization called F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Helping).
Our office was honored to donate approximately $1,800 to F.I.S.H. that will be used to provide meals and services to those in need during these challenging times.
