The Anti-Defamation League hosted the second Walk Against Hate at the Springs Preserve from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

13 Action News Anchor Tricia Kean emceed the event, while Anchor Todd Quinones and his family participated in the walk. There was also a drum circle and speeches from ADL representatives, State Senator Patricia Spearman, and Assemblywoman Ellen Spiegel.

The Desert Oasis High School Drum Line led attendees on the walk through the Springs Preserve desert habitats and Boomtown 1905, a re-created historical streetscape that tells the story of Las Vegas from 1905 to 1920.

Proceeds from the walk supported the ADL No Place for Hate initiative in K-12 schools and the A World of Difference Institute for students, teachers, administrators and parents throughout Nevada. Both programs focus on anti-bullying and anti-bias initiatives.
