Max Suzuki and Michelle Lesco earned the top prize at a major hot dog eating contest at New York-New York hotel-casino on April 28.

The 21st annual competition served as a qualifier for the 102nd Annual Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York.

Competitors were given ten minutes to down as many hot dogs as possible. Suzuki won the men's division by eating 42 1/2 hot dogs, while Lesco won the female division by eating 29. Both will compete

The Nation's Famous Hot Dog Contest has taken place on July 4 in Coney Island since 1916, the year Nathan Handwerker opened the restaurant.
