The 15th Annual Rock the Troops Poker Run will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 6 with proceeds helping veterans, military members and their families. The event is open to all modes of transportation at a cost of $25.
The poker run, produced by American Legion Paradise Post 149, is to raise money for Nevada’s military and veteran community. This day-long event begins and ends at The Leatherneck Club with live music, food provided by John Mull’s Meats and the Road Kill Grill, and weapons raffle, 50/50 and other raffle prizes. There will be ride pins for the first 250 registrants. Drawings will begin at 3 p.m.
This is a true poker hand, and duplicate cards will require a redraw. In the event of multiple winning hands, individuals will draw a card and the high card will win. The high hand will win $400 and low hand $100. An extra hand is $10 and extra card $5.
Proceeds also benefit the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides money for college to any child who has lost a parent in the war on terror since 9/11, as well as those severely injured in the line of duty.
The Leatherneck Club is located at 4360 Spring Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Registration for the Poker Run is the day of the event at The Leatherneck Club. Cost is $25 per participant.
