13 Things To Do This Week In Las Vegas For Dec. 2-8

Here is what is happening around Las Vegas for the week of Dec. 2 through 8:

1. December's First Friday in Downtown Las Vegas will feature artist Alex Huerta, a toy drive, free HIV rapid testing and prevention education, and the completion of the Dakota Access Pipeline mural on the side of the Mission Building. This month's theme for the art, food and music festival is Reflection.

2. Comedians Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider and Nick Swardson take the stage Dec. 2 and 3 inside The Joint at the Hard Rock. Sandler has appeared in multiple movies including "The Wedding Singer" and "50 First Dates." Schneider got his start on "Saturday Night Live" and Swardson rose to fame on the show "Reno 911." 

3. Santa Claus will once again make an appearance at the annual Santa in the Circle at Huntridge Circle park. There will be cookies and hot chocolate for all (bring your own mug). There will be free bicycle helmets for kids and a chance to win a new bicycle.

4. Psychic John Edward will help audience members connect to loved ones on the other side during a special event on Saturday at Red Rock Resort. Space is limited.

5. Singer Andrea Bocelli returns to Las Vegas for his annual December performance on Dec. 3. He'll perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

6. Head to the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park for a fall campfire from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 3. There will be free hot beverages and s'mores and a ranger will talk about the history of the fort. 

7. The Great American Comic Con is taking place Dec. 3 and 4 at Cashman Center. There will be multiple special guests, artists, vendors, special panels, cosplay contests and live entertainment.

8. The legendary award-winning singer and actress Rita Moreno performs with the Las Vegas Philharmonic on Dec. 3 and 4 in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The show is titled "Home for the Holidays with Rita Moreno" and will feature holiday favorites and a sing-a-long.

9. We Are Pancakes are celebrating the release of their debut EP "Cookies and Mimosas" on Dec. 3 at Backstage Bar & Billiards. They will be joined by The American Weather, Jessica Manalo and Kurumpaw.

10. Atomic Liquors will hold its 4th annual Repeal's Eve party on Dec. 4. Wear your best Prohibition Era clothing and enjoy cocktails inspired by an era when booze and bars were illegal. Must know the password to get in.

11. Seduction Sundays, an LGBTQ party, takes place every Sunday night at Inspire's roof bar. The weekly parties feature go-go boys, a variety of drink specials, VIP bottle specials and hookahs. A percentage of profits benefit local and national LGBTQ charities. 

12. A new show titled "Shotspeare" at Planet Hollywood features 5 sword-wielding actors, one lucky audience member, the Wheel of Soliloquy, a ridiculous amount of booze and an entire work of Shakespeare in an hour. Presented Thursdays through Saturdays in The Cabaret Show Lounge. h

13. Rock Shot Bingo is happening Dec. 8 at Green Valley Ranch Resort. The game, which will celebrate the property's 15th birthday, will feature glow necklaces, party hats, shots and prizes for winners. The first nine games pay $100 each and the final game pays $1,000. Or, night owls can play late-night bingo at Red Rock Resort every Friday and Saturday at 11 p.m.
