Smith & Wollensky in The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian is offering the Summer Steak-ation promotion—with in-restaurant dining, take-away grilling packages and lunch and dinner delivery through ChowNow.
Smith & Wollensky is featuring their Summer Wagyu and Lobster, a cocoa and coffee-rubbed Wagyu hanger steak with chimichurri and summer corn relish paired with a Rhode Island-style fried lobster. If you choose to dine in the restaurant, it comes with a Gondola view inside their large socially distanced dining room, an indoor alfresco experience. If you want to test your skills at home on the grill, order a selection of hand-butchered USDA Prime steaks and burgers complemented by discounted wines, side dishes and decadent desserts. Chef Bruce Kalman is doing a pasta cooking class on Aug. 26 with Secret Burger.
A newbie to Vegas, Kalman is a James Beard-nominated chef who has cooked in Chicago, New York, Santa Fe, Phoenix and Los Angeles. He also appeared on Bravo's Top Chef, Food Network's Chopped and Beat Bobby Flay. He's also the chef-founder of BK Brinery, an artisan pickle company.
A lover of music, Kalman works with Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters on Backbeat BBQ, and he is the frontman of a cover band called Foie Grock with Chef Duff Goldman.
He will showcase a three-course meal with scratch-made cavatelli pasta. The cooking kit, which feeds two people and costs $85, can be ordered from Secret Burger and picked up the day of the class. If you want to shop for your own ingredients or don’t live in Las Vegas you can subscribe to class and do your own grocery shopping for $40. The class streams August 26, at 6 p.m.
