LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Mothership Coffee Roasters and Sunrise Coffee are doing their part to help in the fight against COVID-19 by supporting those on the front lines of the virus.

The shop is using their roasting skills to pay it forward, an initiative to thank first responders and healthcare workers during this crisis.

At a time when the valley is experiencing uncertainty, Juanny Romero, owner of Mothership Coffee Roasters and Sunrise coffee said, she's helping herself by helping others.

"Go online to our website buy coffee and we will personally ship it out or deliver it out for free to first responders, nurses, doctors, whoever you choose," Romero said.

Pay It Forward Coffee Roast bags are $14 each and can be purchased here.

Romero's coffee shops are not exempt from the fallout of the virus.

The dining rooms inside Mothership and Sunrise locations were forced to close and they're relying on online or takeout orders to keep afloat. Romero also made the difficult decision to let go 80% of her staff.

Although these are challenging times she says it's important to give back and keep a place where coffee lovers can order online.

The following locations are still open for business:

  • Sunrise Coffee is located at 3130 E. Sunset Road
  • Mothership Coffee in Henderson at 2708 N. Green Valley Parkway.
  • Mothership Coffee in downtown Las Vegas at 1028 Fremont St.
