DISCOVERY Children’s Museum is committed to providing educational experiences and will spark creativity and innovation at “Disney Day At The Museum” on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 10 am – 5 pm.
Disney-themed programming will focus on STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math) and the arts. Themed activities include: designing your own wand or hook, pledging your allegiance to the Lost Boys or the infamous Captain Hook; Disney Trivia; exploring the early phases of animation by creating your own motion image and mixing up your own batch of snow in celebration of Disney’s “Frozen.”
Visitors will also be able to participate in a workshop where you can create your own Mickey Mouse ears for an additional charge of $4 per person. And, in celebration of the museum’s 25th anniversary there will be a Hidden Mickey Contest where 25 hidden mickeys will be placed throughout the museum. Once found, enter your answers into the contest for a chance to win a museum Family Four Pack of tickets.
All visitors are encouraged to dress up in Disney themed costumes, but it’s not required for admission to the happiest place in Las Vegas. For more information and event schedule visit DiscoveryKidsLV.org.
