WATCH: Waterspout rips apart truck in Florida

Posted

A waterspout in Tampa, Florida, ripped a truck to pieces Saturday.

56-year-old Randall Leaver was inside the U.S. Postal Service truck and walked away uninjured.

"All of a sudden I felt a gust of wind and I thought 'is this what I think it is'?" he said. "I've never been to hell -- I thought I was in hell."

The whole thing only lasted a matter of seconds and also caused damage to a nearby construction site.

A waterspout is an intense, non-super cell tornado that forms over bodies of water.
