Boston Dynamics is on a mission to build the most advanced robots the world has ever seen--and by the looks of their latest YouTube video, it appears they are definitely on the right track.

A video posted to their YouTube page last week shows the latest version of their Atlas robot.

The company states this bot was built to function outdoors and also inside buildings. The video shows the machine walking through the snow and even stabilizing after an unexpected wobble.

Boston Dynamics notes that the bot uses sensors to balance itself.

The post explains: "It is electrically powered and hydraulically actuated. It uses sensors in its body and legs to balance and LIDAR and stereo sensors in its head to avoid obstacles, assess the terrain, help with navigation and manipulate objects."

What’s also incredible is watching the robot put up with people being, well…jerks. Video shows someone hitting a box out of its grasp and sliding it away. The robot also gets pushed to the ground. In each scenario, it manages to carry on with it's assigned task.

The Next Generation Atlas is described as 5'9" and 180 pounds.
