A golfer captured video of two alligators apparently fighting on Sarasota’s Bobby Jones Gulf Club, what the city says is also an active wildlife habitat.
The city posted the video, taken last week by golfer Barbara Mossop, on Facebook April 1, telling users, “you should always golf with caution and be aware of your surroundings.”
Gators Fighting (or Mating?) at Bobby Jones Golf ClubVIDEO: Gators Fighting (or Mating?) at Bobby Jones Golf ClubWow -- this brings new meaning to the phrase 'course hazard'! Check out this wildlife video captured earlier this week by golfer Barbara Mossop at our historic municipal golf course Bobby Jones #Golf Club. It's a good reminder that in addition to being a popular golf course, Bobby Jones is an active wildlife habitat - and you should always golf with caution and be aware of your surroundings. Thanks, Barbara, for sharing this amazing video of our urban wildlife.

One of the gators appears to shake the other while clamping its upper body in its jaws. It lets go and both gators walk away, just before the clip ends.
The video had more than 500 shares on the city’s Facebook page as of Sunday.
