20 years ago today, the MGM Grand was packed with visitors in town for the Mike Tyson fight against Bruce Seldon.
It was also the day iconic rapper Tupac Shakur was gunned down.
On Sept. 7 1996, the rapper and his bodyguards got into a scuffle with a crips gang member at the MGM Grand lobby.
Later after the fight, Tupac was shot at a traffic light near Koval Lane and Flamingo Road.
No one has ever been arrested for his murder. Tupac died 6 days later from his injuries.
A movie, "All Eyez On Me" wrapped up filming in Las Vegas back in April.
It will be released this winter.
