NEVADA (KTNV) — A study released on Thursday found that America is eating more tacos during the pandemic. It also found what taco restaurants have been the most visited in the country.
TOP Data says it analyzed GPS data to track visits to taco restaurant chains along with surveying American's on their love of tacos.
The final results came back as Taco Bell being the country's most popular taco restaurant along with leading the way in the Silver State.
Nevada's top choices were in order as follows:
1. Taco Bell
2. Del Taco
3. El Pollo loco
4. Qdoba Mexican Eats
5. Chipotle
In the last year, the overall consumption of tacos went up by 12.8%, according to the survey, with results showing 42% of the American public eating between four and 12 tacos per month.
And Taco Bell was crowned as America’s favorite during this time amid the pandemic.
TOP Data says it also analyzed the year-over-year change in visits to determine the taco restaurant of choice in each state and Taco Bell was the overwhelming favorite - winning the popularity contest across 22 states.
Del Taco came in second, claiming the top spot in eight states, followed by Moe’s with a favorite in seven states.
