A baby squirrel monkey and a cat forged an unlikely friendship in Russia.
The mother of the 3-week-old squirrel monkey refused to carry him on her back, which is essential for the animal to survive its first few months.
Fearing the animal would die, the zoo director introduced him to her 16-year-old cat.
The monkey will stay with the cat for another month until he becomes stronger. He'll then head back to the zoo to live with his relatives.
