LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A photo of the moment June Levett met Kyle Speidel and listened to her daughter Lindsey Levett's heart has gone viral.
The situation that brought the two together can be seen as a tragedy but they prefer to focus on the positives and to carry Lindsey's legacy on in life.
Speidel has another lease on life through Levett's selfless act of signing up to be an organ donor.
Speidel had issues with his heart starting over a decade ago and in June 2018 he got the call that a heart was available.
It wasn't until a year later that he met the family of the organ donor and together they want to spread the importance of organ donation.
Levett's family flew to Las Vegas this week to reunite with Speidel, who lives in Kansas, but is often here to DJ events on the Strip.
Together they want to honor Lindsey and all organ donors and to remind families to talk about decisions involving organ donation.
