A New Mexico mom's story about packing her son's lunch is warming hearts all over the internet.

When Josette Duran found out the real reason her son had been asking her to pack him two meals, she was heartbroken.

"He said, no mom, it's for this little boy at school and he sits by himself and all he eats is a fruit cup", says Duran.

The mother of the little boy she had been feeding reached out to Duran and tried to give her some money to pay her back she wouldn't accept it.

The girl's volleyball team Duran coaches raised $400 to pay her for the extra lunches.

She took that money straight to the cafeteria to pay off all the past due accounts kids had.

Duran says her and her son don't want any thanks, but they're glad they made lifelong friends.
