Jennifer Lopez has been openly proud of her Puerto Rican heritage throughout her career and now she's showing that it's more than just lip service.
The island of Puerto Rico was heavily damaged by Hurricane Maria and many are still without power, water, gas, and telephone service.
Lopez is setting an example by donating $1 million of her Las Vegas show proceeds to relief efforts in Puerto Rico. She hopes that her donation is just the beginning and sets an example others can follow.
