A tea party of Apple Jacks and Oreos. It was a fitting meal for a toddler and the officer who saved her one year ago.

Corporal Patrick Ray, 30, saved 2-year-old Bexley's life when she choked on a coin at her home in Rowlett, Texas.

Bexley's mother, Tammy Norvell, called 911 and Ray was there within minutes. He was able to pry the toddler's mouth open and perform a finger sweep. His body camera captured the moment Bexley started breathing again.

"It was the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard in my entire life," Ray told KTVT in Dallas.

Ray also came to check on Bexley in the hospital.

"Last time I checked, that was not their job description," Norvell told CNN.

Norvell then decided to remember the year anniversary by doing a photoshoot in the theme of a tea party.

"I wanted to make something positive out of a negative thing," Norvell told CNN.
