More people are starting to shop for food online and Amazon has gotten into the food business.
However, complaints of expired food prompted the CNBC to take a look at what's available from Amazon Marketplace.
They discovered that customers are complaining that items like baby formula, coffee creamer, beef jerky and granola bars are often past their sell-by date.
Other customers have complained about receiving food that is spoiled or smells funny.
