Move over apple pie, baseball, and hot dogs. America has a brand new representative that you probably didn't ask for.
Budweiser is looking to "make America great again" by renaming their beer "America" this summer.
These new "symbols" of our country would be available May 23 through the November election and aim “to inspire drinkers to celebrate America and Budweiser's shared values of freedom and authenticity", says a spokesman for Bud.
Budweiser's new name has not been officially approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau just yet.
However if it does, you could see these cans and bottles on shelves as early as July 4.
In fairness, Budweiser just might really be the "king" of American beers. The brand mademore money than any other beer in 2015, at $2B in sales beating out its closest competitor Coors, by $1B.
