Alaskans plunge into frigid waters for a good cause

Posted
More than 1,000 people braved the elements to take part in the annual Polar Plunge in Alaska, some dressing up in costumes before jumping into the frigid water.

The event raised more than $300,000 for Special Olympics Alaska.

Organizers say they've raised more than $2 million since they began the Polar Plunge in 2008.
