An 11-year-old girl took over the wheel after her mother had a seizure in Iowa.
Katie Boven and her mom Shilow were driving from Missouri to Nebraska Saturday afternoon when Shilow had a seizure.
Katie climbed over her mother to the driver's seat and took control of the SUV. Her feet couldn't even reach the rbake so she steered the car into the grass.
Two people helped Katie and Shilow until paramedics and the Iowa State Patrol arrived.
Shilow is out of the hospital and told KETV NewsWatch she had no history of seizures.
