A battle over bees is happening in Henderson.

One family there says that they can't use their backyard because of the bees, but the owner of the bees says they are friendly.

KA Hulet says that the minute that they start swimming in their pool, the bees come out and terrorize the children.

The bees belong to their neighbor, David Sharpless. He keeps bees as a hobby.

Action News reached out to the city of Henderson and learned that Sharpless is doing nothing wrong.

Sharpless told 13 Action News that the bees are his pets and that they work hard to pollinate fruit trees in the area.

The city has been trying to calm the bee battle for some time. A state entomologist was even brought in from Reno to inspect the bees. The inspector found the bees to be peaceful and not showing any signs of sickness or of being feral.

However, the Hulets say that they plan to continue their fight to get rid of the bees.
