Out of an abundance of caution, the YMCA of Southern Nevada has made the difficult decision to shut down all four Las Vegas facilities as of March 16.

There was no confirmed exposure of COVID-19 in the branches, but they intend to take this time to do a deep cleaning of all facilities.

The Y is currently working with community leaders on how the Y can best serve the community during this time.

To best serve our community, The Y will continue to operate as a Three Square Open Meal site at the Heinrich Y, Durango Hills Y and SkyView Y starting March 17.

Ages 18 and under are welcome to a free meal – individuals do not have to be Y members to participate.

These sites will be open Monday – Saturday, approximately 4 to 6 p.m. This will be a “grab-and-go” method – Y staff will meet participants at each facility’s front door.

Each location’s information is listed below:

Bill & Lillie Heinrich YMCA | 4141 Meadows Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89107

Durango Hills YMCA | 3521 N Durango Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89129

SkyView YMCA | 3050 E Centennial Parkway, North Las Vegas, NV 89081

In addition, the Y has also offered a variety of online resources, for members and the community to continue focusing on their health, wellness and education during the closure. Members have been given online access to several at-home workout platforms.

For families with children at home, a variety of online educational resources have been shared to help keep kids engaged and entertained. All of these programs can be accessed at this link: https://www.lasvegasymca.org/covid-19-updates/.
