Casino mogul Steve Wynn says he wants the Raiders in Las Vegas.

TMZ Sports caught up with Wynn in Los Angeles recently and asked him about the possible move.

A TMZ photographer asked Wynn, "How do you feel about a team like the Raiders coming to Vegas?"

"Love it, absolutely love it. I'm really working hard to make sure that can happen...gives everyone another excuse to come to Las Vegas."

Wynn goes on to say that he doesn't think any city is better suited for the team.

He also says he has spoken to team owner Mark Davis.

Wynn says he is trying to make it happen.

The Tourism Infrastructure Committee is considering a two-month extension before going to Gov. Brian Sandoval with its proposals, but right now there is no location.

"Just like in real estate, location location location matters when you build a stadium," CFA Mike PeQueen said.

Nine sites are being considered. Once that is sorted out, there is still the minor issue of funding. Initially, developers thought it was  going to cost $1.4 billion to build, but now they say that number is somewhere between $1.7 billion and $2.1 billion.

With so much to consider, the committee is looking at extending its proposal deadline another two months, to the end of September, but the NFL can only wait so long.

"We've got to get to the finish line because the Raiders have to go to the NFL and say this is contingent on NFL approval," Sands President & COO Rob Goldstein said.
