In a Wynn Las Vegas earnings call Wednesday, the lagoon will now be a restored golf course, which is slated to open along with new convention space.
Former CEO Steve Wynn discussed the project on 13 Action News two years ago. The project was expected to have a lagoon, boardwalk, new convention space and food services.
It was not revealed why the project's direction shifted.
The project was still being discussed in January when Wynn also announced a new hotel project.
