LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Construction continues on a new retail and entertainment complex located in central Las Vegas.
Work can be seen from Interstate 15 near Desert Inn Road at the AREA15 site.
Once complete, the complex is expected to offer live events, immersive activations, art installations and unique experiences for guests, according to a spokesperson familiar with the project.
The anchor tenant, Meow Wolf, will also create interactive art that will transport audiences into realms of story, exploration, and discovery.
Additional space throughout the 200,000 square-foot structure will be a platform for a variety of other experiential and retail businesses.
Also, an indoor and outdoor event space will also play host to live music, festivals, esports tournaments and more, according to project plans.
The SPINE, an ever-changing corridor filled with one-of-a-kind art installations and unique merchandise, will also be part of the site.
The complex is expected to be opening in late 2019.
