Around 9:50 p.m. Henderson Police said the driver of a black 2006 Dodge Dakota was traveling south on Greenway Road in the right travel lane. A 74-year-old female was operating her motorized wheelchair, with no lights or reflective materials, southbound in the right travel lane of Greenway Road near the intersection of Fairway Road.

The driver of the black Dodge did not see the female in the same travel lane as he approached the intersection and struck her from the rear. There is a sidewalk and a bicycle lane at the location.

The pedestrian was pronounced at the scene.

During initial investigation, it does not appear that speed or alcohol were factors. The driver of the Dodge Dakota remained at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Greenway Road was closed for approximately three and half hours.

The Clark County coroner identified the woman as Connie Putzke of Henderson. She died of multiple blunt force injuries.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call the Henderson Police Department at 702-267-4911, 311, or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
