Police say a woman was critically injured after she was hit by a car while crossing a Las Vegas street.

The crash occurred Friday around 11:20 p.m. in the area of Pecos Road and Rawhide Street, just south of Hacienda Avenue.

According to police, a Ford Fiesta hit the woman while she was walking outside a marked crosswalk across Pecos Road. The driver immediately stopped.

A second driver hit the Ford after trying to avoid hitting the pedestrian. That driver also stayed at the scene.

Police say the woman was taken to Sunrise Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
