A woman has been arrested for a crash in Pahrump that took the life of one person.

According to the Nye County Sheriff's Office, two vehicles were involved in a crash in the area of  Dandelion and Honeysuckle Street. The crash happened at 4 a.m. Sept. 24.

Authorities say that Ashely Winn failed to stop at a stop sign and hit another vehicle. It is believed that Winn was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The driver of that vehicle was airlifted to UMC Trauma in Las Vegas, and the passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Winn was also transported to Desert View Hospital.

Nevada Highway Patrol arrested Winn after her release from the hospital and charged her with DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and failing to stop at stop sign.

She was transported to the Nye County Detention Center and booked on the above charges. Her bail was set at $200,240.

Prior to being fully booked and housed in the facility, Pahrump Justice of the Peace Kent Jasperson released Winn on her own recognizance, allowing her to be released without paying bail money.

On Sept. 26 at 7:30 a.m., Jasperson rescinded the own recognizance order, and remanded Winn back to the custody of the Nye County Sheriff's Office on her original bail amount. Winn turned herself in at 9 a.m. She will face a future court date.
