The implosion of the Monaco Tower at the Riviera hotel-casino is scheduled to take place at 2:30 a.m. June 14. There is a not a designated viewing area for the general public. In fact, there will be road closures in effect immediately before and after the implosion. Riviera Boulevard will be closed from about 1:30 to 5 a.m. Traffic on Convention Center Drive will be reduced to one lane for eastbound traffic from about 1:30 a.m. until dust has settled after implosion. A portion of Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the Riviera will also be closed from about 2:15 a.m. until the dust has settled.
Viewing party at Barrymore
The Barrymore is hosting a viewing party for the implosion. The Barrymore is located inside the Royal Resort on Convention Center Drive. There will be drink and food specials.

The Peppermill
The restaurant and its lounge are as iconic as the Riviera and is located right next door. There are no viewing party plans, but it's a good place to grab a bite to eat or a drink before the implosion.

There should be several spots along Convention Center Drive that will offer a great view of the implosion.
Top of Encore parking garage
We haven't checked it out personally, but we think the top of the Encore parking garage will probably have a pretty decent view of the implosion.
Top of Westgate parking garage
The top floor of the Westgate parking garage on Paradise Road should also offer a decent view of the implosion.
From your couch
13 Action News will be on the air during the implosion and will have multiple cameras at the site. The 13 Action News helicopter will also be in the air.
