NEVADA (KTNV) — The Southern Nevada Water Authority is canceling a 30-year-old proposal to pump groundwater from rural Nevada to Las Vegas.
The decision follows a March order from a judge that deemed applications for the project illegal.
The water authority will focus on water conservation measures instead in what the Great Basin Water Network calls a victory.
