LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a North Las Vegas home overnight.
The fire happened on Helen Avenue near Martin L. King Boulevard and Carey Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on May 9.
The home was vacant and no one was injured.
A neighbor took video of the incident as it was happening.
Neighbors tell 13 Action News that this is not the first time the home has caught fire.
The North Las Vegas Fire Department says the same home has caught fire four times in the past.
“There’s a guy that lives next door that’s very elderly and it’s like everyone just made sure he was okay because of the fire being so close to him," says Da'monee Green, who woke up to the fire.
Investigators say no other homes were damaged by flames or smoke.
