NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — While ballots are still being counted, election officials in Clark County are providing an update after the Nov. 5 election.

Election workers have been working since midnight on Wednesday counting ballots.

According to Clark County Registrar of Voters Lorena Portillo, roughly 9,200 ballots were posted to the website as of 1 p.m., including mail ballots received from the post office Tuesday morning and any that were successfully cured.

Portillo also said about 54,000 ballots were received from the vote center drop boxes. The next update should come after 10 p.m. Wednesday and include about 55,000, including ones from the drop boxes, Tuesday's morning mail, plus any that are successfully cured, she added.

Portillo said it is still unknown how many of those ballots will be verified and tabulated Wednesday night.

She also said that as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, roughly 12,000 ballots still needed to be cured, and the deadline is 11 a.m. on Nov. 12.

Anyone who still needs to cure their ballot can visit Cure.NV.Gov.

The registrar also wanted to remind everyone that these counts are still technically unofficial, as canvassing doesn't happen until Nov. 15.
