Las Vegas residents received a surprise Friday – snow!
It was a rare sight for many from Summerlin to Mountains Edge.
"It's amazing!" said James Kelsey who lives in Las Vegas.
"I didn't expect it to be quite this cold but I'm doing OK, I'm having a good time!" added Kelsey.
Many 13 Action News viewers sent in videos and pictures showing thick flakes coming down Friday afternoon.
"I wasn't expecting it to be so intense!" said Jerra Strong, a Las Vegas resident.
"It's almost magical, you don't see this that often out here. It's so much fun!" added Strong.
Temperatures dropped to the mid 30s which made it possible for the snow flakes to fly but still too warm for any accumulation.
