Family and friends said a final goodbye to a boy who died after a tragedy at a water park.
8-year-old Daquan Bankston died last month shortly after he was pulled from the wave pool at Cowabunga Bay water park.
"It seems so unreal, just to go to the park and that happens," said Bankston's uncle Jerome Burks in a previous interview with 13 Action News.
Bankston's friends, family, and teachers gathered Saturday to celebrate his life through music, poems, and memories.
The family had been raising money through Go Fund Me to cover the cost of funeral expenses. They ended up exceeding their goal by $800.
Bankston's casket paid homage to Captain Underpants--one of his favorite books, according to Burks.
