A family friend said the woman who died in Sunday's Las Vegas Strip crash was in Las Vegas with her husband to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Jessica Valenzuela was also the mother to three girls and had her brand new home in Buckeye, Ariz., west of Phoenix, all decorated for Christmas.
"They were a very nice couple, a nice family," said neighbor Angelina Chavez. "It's very sad to hear."
Chavez lives across the street from the Valenzuelas and said the family moved in a couple of months ago.
Valenzuela was struck as she and her husband were walking on the Strip and 24-year-old Lakeisha Holloway drove into the crowd, injuring 37. She was arrested in the Tuscany Hotel parking lot after the crash and faces a murder charge.
More than $25,000 has been raised in GoFundMe set up for Valenzuela.
