LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas police say they are investigating a deadly incident in the east part of town where a child was killed Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of Arlington Street, near Charleston and Nellis boulevards, outside an apartment complex at around 7 p.m.

Police say a 3-year-old boy was shot while with a group of adults, including the child’s mother, as they were walking outside.
The child died at Sunrise Hospital.

Authorities said no immediate arrests were made but the situation remains under investigation.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department held a media briefing Wednesday night.
