Vegas Golden Knights sign first player

The Vegas Golden Knights has signed its first player.

21-year-old Reid Duke is a native of Calgary, Alberta. He is currently leading the Brandon Wheat Kings in goals and points for the seasons. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2014.

The forward, who is a free agent, signed a three-year entry level contract with the team.

The Vegas GOlden Knights became an official member of the National Hockey League last Thursday.

He will finish the season with the Wheat Kings before joining the Golden Knights.
