The Las Vegas community has come together in a big way to help victims of Hurricane Harvey by holding donation drives and donating supplies.
Now, a valley couple is taking all that one step further. They're loading up their truck and headed east to help the animals affected by the storm.
Right now, Houston shelters are trying to make room for the pets that are being rescued. With so many, they're having to set up makeshift shelters, and many of them are short supplies.
"I can't imagine having to leave any of my pets behind, so if I can go in and take care of their pets while they get their life situation, that's what I want to do," says Megan Middleton.
The Middletons are accepting donations for the next few days until they leave. They're also accepting any pet supplies.
