UPDATE JUNE 30: UNLV supporters have responded to the new spirit logo – it's not positive.
The new design has been met with much criticism. In fact, there's a petition circulating that request UNLV goes back to previous "Hey Reb!" design.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: UNLV President Len Jessup was amongst those that debuted the Rebels' new spirit logo today.
The mark has been changed every decade since the introduction of Hey Reb! the character in 1982. The most recent update was completed in 2006 and today's version has a more sleek design than those before it.
