The UNLV Rebels will officially play the first game of the season later today.
As the team starts a new season, some are wondering if the Rebels will soon get a new home to play in.
Many people are excited about the game tonight but not so much about where it is being played.
Sam Boyd Stadium was built in 1971 and most recently renovated in 1999.
New turf was installed last year.
The stadium is about 7 miles away from the school's campus and UNLV has discussed building a stadium a little closer to home.
The Campus Improvement Authority Board was supposed to meet yesterday and discuss what would happen if Las Vegas doesn't get a new stadium that UNLV could also use.
However, the meeting was canceled because not enough people showed up.
UNLV will be hosting Jackson State University tonight. The game starts at 7 p.m.
