UNLV Director of Athletics Tina Kunzer-Murphy announced Friday that baseball head coach Tim Chambers has resigned in order to fully concentrate on his health and would like to spend more time with his family.
Chambers took an indefinite medical leave from the University on July 9 and associate head coach Stan Stolte was named acting head coach.
Chambers compiled a record of 157-132 in five seasons as head coach, and became the fastest coach to reach 100 wins at UNLV.
Chamber's retirement comes just a few months after he wasarrested for DUI on Oct. 6.
