LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two of the victims involved in the mass stabbing on the Las Vegas Strip have been released from UMC Trauma after being treated for stab wounds.
A spokesperson for UMC confirmed Thursday afternoon that they had received five patients involved in the incident.
"Our team members at the UMC Trauma Center continue to work tirelessly to provide these patients with the highest level of care available," UMC told KTNV.
On Friday, UMC provided an update on the status of the patients, revealing two patients had been released. One victim remains hospitalized and in "critical condition," but one patient has improved to "fair condition."
The fifth patient received at UMC Trauma was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving. Police later identified the victim as Maris DiGiovanni, 30, a las vegas local and showgirl who performed regularly on the strip.
To help with funeral costs, medical bills, and other financial recovery efforts, a GoFundMe has been organized to help the victims get back on their feet however they can.
