Two people were taken to the hospital after reports of a shooting at an apartment complex on Carey Avenue and 5th Street.
Police received a disturbance call within La Ensenada Villas around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday. It was later reported that shots were fired. The suspect then ran away.
When officers arrived, they located two adults, male and female, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They were transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The victims and witnesses are cooperating with officials. Police are still investigating the case.
