UPDATE 5:30 P.M. JAN 31: Family members identified the two killed as 20-year-old Omar Garcia and 17-year-old Kevin Garcia.

UPDATE 6 A.M. JAN. 31: Police say that the driver of the car may have been racing an SUV when he lost control, crossed into the westbound lanes of Sahara Avenue, and hit a Dodge Durango.

The 1991 Acura Integra was being driven by a 20-year-old male. The front seat passenger, also a male, was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The drive was transported to Sunrise Hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Both occupants of the Durango were transported to Sunrise with non-life threatening injuries. The Durango was occupied by a 62-year-old male and 51-year-old female. 

The Clark County coroner will identify the deceased after relatives have been notified. 

These deaths are the 3rd and 4th traffic-related fatalities for 2018.

Las Vegas police say two people in a small two door car were killed after colliding with an SUV on Sahara Avenue near Lamb Boulevard.

The crash around 9 p.m. ripped the front end off of the car.

Investigators say the driver of the small car appeared to lose control and slid into oncoming traffic where it hit the SUV.

Police say one of the people in the two-door car was pronounced dead at the scene, the other person died at the hospital.

The two people in the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators say the driver of the SUV did not show any signs of impairment.

They were still working to determine if speed played a role in the crash.
