UPDATE: Firefighters put out the Clearwater Paper fire around 12:18 p.m. Monday.

Officials are still investigating the cause of the flames.

"There's a potential for us to be able to go in and save the building from any further damage without causing harm to our firefighters we'll do that," said Capt. Cedric Williams. "In this case, that was an option for us to go in and actively fight the fire."

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire on Monday morning at the Clearwater Paper Corp. building at 3901 Donna Street near North 5th Street and East Alexander Road.

The fire began in the rafters in the building, which resulted in a delay in the sprinklers being activated.

All of the employees had to be evacuated from the building. No injuries have been reported.

The fire was mostly under control by 10:40 a.m. but firefighters are still working on it.
