TRAFFIC TROUBLES: Uncovered construction project near downtown

and last updated
There is a dangerous hole right near downtown Las Vegas. It is in the middle of a construction site, near Main Street and Coolidge Avenue.

Normally, there should be a cover over it, but a viewer sent us picture showing that's not always the case.

On Monday, crews are working on the area and everything should be covered up once they are all done.

Speaking of the construction around downtown, here's the update on what's happening. Crews are putting in a median at Main Street and Commerce Street and then both streets are going to be turning into one way roads.

The goal is to make the area safer for pedestrians. Crews are installing bike lanes, widening sidewalks, and improving traffic flow around downtown.

The only problem is, they are going to be out there working on this through fall of 2018.
