LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — U.S. Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto will speak during a town hall on Nevada's unemployment crisis on Thursday.
The town hall is hosted by Make the Road Nevada and will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., according to the event's Facebook page.

Sen. Cortez Masto is scheduled to answer questions related to the economic impacts of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, Nevada's unemployment department released its latest jobs report showing a decline in the jobless rate from May to June.

According to the national report released this morning, unemployment benefits in the U.S. remained stuck at 1.3 million last week. Nevada's economy has been hit especially hard since it relies heavily on tourism, one of the industries hit the hardest by the pandemic.
