HENDERSON (KTNV) — The City of Henderson held community meetings on Monday to get feedback on the future of the Henderson Pavilion.

During the presentation, the city showed what the arena is expected to look like, and even how it would size up to T-Mobile Arena.

There are also plans for an underground tunnel in the median of Green Valley Parkway to alleviate some of the anticipated traffic.

But, attendees didn’t want to see plans, they wanted answers and they say not a lot were given.

“If you did the maintenance throughout the course of the 20 years it wouldn’t be all now that you need all this stuff, so they dropped the ball,” says Kymberlie Hurd.

While those who call the area home might not be thrilled, businesses across the street from the Pavilion in The District at Green Valley Ranch are ready.

Bone and Belly Ramen opened up just a week ago and will be looking forward to new customers.

“We love it here and we're ready for it,” says David Burgueno.

The meetings took place at Sun City Macdonald Ranch from 4-6 p.m. Presentations will be held on the hour at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.

Last month, the Vegas Golden Knights announced they are working with the city of Henderson on building a new state-of-the-art, 6,000-seat arena for their new American Hockey League team where the Henderson Pavilion is currently located.

Sun City Macdonald Ranch is located on 2020 W Horizon Ridge Parkway.
